In my practice I work with adult women and men, adolescents and couples.
My approach is integrative utilizing training in gestalt therapy, existential psychotherapy, relational cultural therapy feminist psychologymindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy. In my general practice I provide short-term and in-depth psychotherapy as well as consultation to individuals, couples, groups and families seeking assistance with a variety of issues.
During the life transition of becoming a mother, women often experience stress balancing family life, marriage, work, new roles and a new identity.
Counseling during the developmental stage of motherhood is often helpful in navigating the biological, psychological and social issues at this time of life. Women may seek help working through fears and obstacles to the birth process as well as ways to empower themselves in their new role as mother. Many women also experience loss or trauma at this of life and seek assistance in processing their grief.
I also lead supportive post-partum therapy groups. My work is grounded in my own mindfulness practice.
As a long time practitioner of both meditation and yoga, these practices influence my orientation. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my children and enjoying the natural beauty of Vermont.Couples looking for girls in South Burlington Vermont
